"Two Cameroonians arrested for the murder of seven immigrants who were in the same small boat."

This is a striking case because the news gives relevance to the nationality of the attackers but not to the nationality of the victims, who are clumped together under the same generic definition of "African immigrants". The act of indicating the nationality of the alleged murderer spreads the idea that people of that nationality are violent and dangerous. However, they do not point out any nationality of those killed. Were they fromCameroon too? Does the nationality not matter here? In 2015 we have detected a lack of humanization in the news, presenting immigrants as a whole and treating them as objects without differentiating one person from another. This piece of information is a clear example of how victims are treated like a group who don’t merit faces, lives, or nationalities.
